Pre & Post Procedure Instructions

Pre-Treatment Instructions

  • Avoid Blood Thinners: Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, and similar supplements at least 7 days before your appointment (unless prescribed).
  • No Alcohol: Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising and swelling.
  • Medication Disclosure: Inform us about all current medications and health conditions. Some medications may interfere with your results.
  • Clean Skin: Arrive with a clean face—no makeup, lotions, or skincare products.
  • Cold Sores: If you are prone to cold sores, notify us. We may prescribe antivirals to prevent flare-ups.

 

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: No tanning or direct sun for 2 weeks prior. Use SPF 30+ daily.
  • Discontinue Harsh Products: Stop using retinoids, glycolic acid, or exfoliants 5–7 days before treatment.
  • Hydrate Well: Drink plenty of water in the days before treatment.
  • Shave the Area: If you're getting laser hair removal, shave the area 24 hours in advance.

 

  • Eat Well & Avoid Alcohol: Follow a healthy diet and skip alcohol for 48 hours before your session.
  • Hydration: Keep yourself well-hydrated.
  • Comfortable Clothing: Wear loose-fitting clothes for your comfort during the treatment.
  • Medical History: Inform us of any health conditions or recent surgeries

Post-Treatment Instructions

  • Hands Off: Avoid touching or rubbing treated areas for at least 24 hours.

 

  • Stay Upright: Remain upright for 4–6 hours after treatment.

 

  • Avoid Exercise: Skip heavy workouts, saunas, or hot tubs for 24–48 hours.

 

  • Ice for Swelling: Apply a cold pack gently to reduce swelling if needed.

 

  • Gentle Skincare: Use only mild cleansers and moisturizers for 3–5 days.

 

  • Protect Your Skin: Use SPF 50 and avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks after treatment.

 

  • Avoid Heat: No hot baths, saunas, or sweating for 48 hours.

 

  • Moisturize Regularly: Keep the skin hydrated with non-irritating moisturizers.

 

  • Gentle Products Only: Avoid harsh skincare until the skin heals.
  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to help flush out fat cells.

 

  • Light Movement: Gentle exercise like walking is encouraged.

 

  • Healthy Diet: Maintain clean eating habits to support results.

 

  • Compression Wear: If advised, wear compression garments to help reduce swelling.
